They used to be really do but they haven't adapted their pricing to fit the wide market which has left them very overpriced for a very mediocre service. I have several domains and websites hosted with them which I am in the process of moving over to GoDaddy who are much cheaper and provide a much better service. The fact that they don't allow an external SSL certificate on their shared hosting services and force you to buy one off them for £50 (when you can the same off GoDaddy for £5) was the last straw and the catalyst to move everything away from them after over 6 years - it has to said, I had very little issue over the last 6 years but they're becoming too expensive for what they're offering.

Part of the same bunch of amateurs who ruined my website and my entire business last year by switching off our dedicated (and expensive) server as a response to a supposed cyber-attack that was never explained, 123-reg continue the tradition of bleak incompetence.123-reg are part of Host Europe Group (HEG). Avoid anything under that umbrella.I cancelled an unwanted web package in April 2020. In May, 123-reg sent me an invoice for it. I explained that I had cancelled the package, and that I did not require it any more. They replied by saying that they were going to charge me for the package and then refund the charge, because there was no way to stop the charge going ahead. I forbade them to do this.They did it anyway.Two days ago (1 June 2020), they took money from my business that did not belong to them. They even took the money 9 days before they said they were going to. And they have NOT paid it back.There are many web hosting companies out there, folks. Please take the time to do your research and pick another one. Nobody has ever shown such disregard for our company. Avoid. Forget the low prices. You'll end up disappointed, angry, and most probably out-of-pocket. Host Europe Group are liars and cheats, and they are incompetent. I have the evidence.

Shocking customer service, impossible to get support to simply reset some passwords... IT company has major IT issues!!! Ongoing issue since DECEMBER!!!! Shocking

I have been redirected from Domain Monster to 123Reg (Go Daddy Group). I kept getting emails saying that payment could not be taken from my card for renewing services. I chatted with Deea, who was helpful, friendly and resolved my issue quickly. I suspect the notifications are designed to ensure you activate your new account. Thanks 123 Reg.

Shocking service. We were advised to move from webmail to O365, and after waiting weeks for someone to tell us how we should do this after we phoned 123reg, very little information was given and we were left completely in the dark. Subsequently, after a migration had taken place, all my mail folders that I had created over the past 10 years for work and personal use disappeared, along with all my saved email contacts. When on the phone to a member of your team I was told that they needed to hang up to sort their own WiFi out and that they would call me back within 5 minutes. Of course this call was never returned. I then had to call up one of your other colleagues who told me that when you switched to O365 it was normal for folders to be deleted etc. It is absolutely appalling that nobody thought to tell us this before we switched. All of my work contacts are lost and I can no longer find vital emails. I would not recommend this company at all we have had all sorts of problems.

9th March 2021 update123-reg have withdrawn over £57 from my PayPal account today to 'auto-renew' two domains I've been trying to cancel for over a month. I cannot cancel without a DOP password and have completed 123-reg's relevant forms requesting a password resets on 9th & 23rd February. I've also raised several support tickets.I've had zero response other than confirmation the reset requests have been received and will be actioned within 2-7 days.On 4th March I chased up by email again and had no response to that either.The nightmare continues.I will now lodge an appeal through PayPall as I don't believe I'll get anywhere appealing again to 123-reg.9th February 2021Horrendously stressful company - trying to cancel a domain or move it away from 123-reg.co.uk takes hours of trawling endless support pages and following countless links. It's nigh on impossible to do anything that reduces their income without support intervention and that only seems to be available by raising a ticket and waiting the email response (live chat unavailable). 9 times out of 10 their response leaves you with another unanswered question and another inevitable wait - honestly do yourself a favour - buy elsewhere!

Very very bad , keep changing terms on email quota and when you call them its very difficult to make any sense, AVOID THIS COMPANY!
